Where do your trolleys go?
We have six routes plus our tram service at the LeConte Convention Center parking lot. Please see below for information on where each route goes and where the tram service runs.
Where does the North Route go?
The North Route covers the north end of the City of Pigeon Forge and parts of Sevierville.
Where does the South Route go?
The South Route covers the south end of the City of Pigeon Forge.
Where does the Gatlinburg Route go?
The Gatlinburg Route runs from the Transit Center to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. From there the Gatlinburg Transit system picks up guests and transports them on into the City of Gatlinburg.
Where does the Wears Valley Route go?
The Wears Valley Route travels back and forth from the Wears Valley / Waldens Creek area to the Transit Center.
Where does the Dollywood Route go?
The Dollywood Route runs from the Transit Center to Dollywood and back when Dollywood is open.
Where does the Splash Country Route go?
The Splash Country Route runs to and from Splash Country to the Transit Center when the attraction is open.
Where does the Tram Service run?
The Tram Service runs daily between the LeConte Convention Center and the Island parking lot.
How often do the trolleys run?
All times vary due to traffic conditions and weather. The North and South route will run on an average of 20 to 30 minutes apart under normal working conditions. This is subject to change due to circumstances that may arise. The Gatlinburg route averages out to be approximately 30 minutes. The Wears Valley Route takes approximately 1 hour to complete. The Dollywood and Splash Country Routes average out to be approximately 15 to 20 minutes each. The Trams run continuously in the parking lot daily. All routes begin and end at the Pigeon Forge Mass Transit Center.
What does it cost to ride a Trolley or Tram?
The North, South, Wears Valley, and Gatlinburg Welcome Center each cost one dollar each time you board. Dollywood and Splash Country cost two dollars and fifty cents each time you board. The best plan for riding the trolleys anywhere though is to purchase a day pass. This allows a guest to ride the trolleys all day and only pay three dollars per person. You can get on and get off as many times as you wish. This day pass also works for Dollywood and Splash Country. We also offer a season pass. This pass is valid from the date of purchase until the end of business on December 31st. Season passes can be purchased for thirty five dollars. All Tram service is free of charge. Also any child three years of age and younger can ride all routes for free.
How do I get to Gatlinburg?
You must pick up the trolley to Gatlinburg at the Pigeon Forge Transit Center. From there you are driven to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. From there you exit our trolleys and get on a Gatlinburg Transit Trolley and continue on into downtown Gatlinburg. To return you simply reverse this process.
Do you do tours?
Pigeon Forge Mass Transit is not a touring company. We do not do private tours.
How do I catch the trolley in the street?
There are close to 200 trolley stops within Pigeon Forge and a part of Sevierville. You simply locate one of those stops and then wait at that stop for a trolley to come by and pick you up. You must be at the stop in order for a trolley to stop. They are not allowed to stop anywhere except the designated areas. If you are on a trolley and wish to disembark, simply pull the cord which is near the window and the driver will know that you wish to exit the trolley.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed on the trolleys or trams except for ADA certified service animals. Those animals are accepted on all Pigeon Forge Transit trolleys and trams.
Can we go to Dollywood or Splash Country?
Pigeon Forge Mass Transit does run routes to Dollywood and Splash Country.
What does it cost to park in your parking lot?
The lot at Pigeon Forge Mass Transit / Patriot Park is free to park in. Parking is limited to first come first served.
Are strollers and wagons allowed on trolleys and trams?
All strollers must be folded and placed under the seat. Wagons are not allowed unless they can be folded and put under the seat. This is a safety issue.
Do you offer ADA accessibility?
Every trolley and tram at Pigeon Forge Mass Transit has ADA accessibility.
Can I buy passes for more than one day?
You may purchase day passes for the day you visit and for the next day. There are future plans coming that will extend this service.
Do I have to purchase Day Passes at the Transit Office?
That is correct. All day passes must be purchased at the front office. There are future plans coming that allow passes to be purchased through your mobile phone app or computer.
Can we charter a trolley?
Pigeon Forge Mass Transit does not offer charter services.
Are masks required in order to ride a trolley?
The City of Pigeon Forge and the Pigeon Forge Mass Transit follow the recommendations of the CDC.
When do you let the Bears out each day?
We allow the Bears to make up their own minds on when they want to wake up. We never want to see a grumpy bear (lol)
When do you turn the smoke on in the mountains?
It just depends on who's turn it is that morning (lol)
